Dear Jungwoo,
Jungwoo!!! I miss you so much!!
You're the kindest little brother I could've ever had. Most of my friends think it's really weird that I write a letter to my brother because they often don't like their siblings, but when they see you, they're going to understand why I love you so much. You're the cutest thing on earth!!!
I'm so sorry that I didn't play soccer with you as much as you wanted to. After the camp, I really promise you that I'm going to play soccer for two hours even if I faint in the middle of a game.
I heard you beat two big kids by yourself and that dad didn't compliment you for that. He was just lilke "good job" and continued watching TV. I totally understand your feeling because mom does the same thing to me. Even if I get a good grade, all she says is "you could've done better". I'll compliment you as mufch as possible if you do something awesome like that.
I think, since I started middle school, we didn't have enough time to play. But you have to know that I don't have enough time and a lot to study. So I'll try to find the time to play together.
Lastly, I hope that you listen to me more after I come back. If I tell you something that has to do with your behaivors, you should take it in and stop doing what I tell you not to do. I'm doing it for your own good, so you should not get so mad at me for that. Sometimes, you should be thankful that I don't kick you and hurt your feelings unlike other older sisters. I love you and I hope you know that. And even if we fight sometimes, don't forget that I'm very grateful for having such a nice, handsome brother. Luv ya!!!
Your one and only sister,
Stephanie :)
P.S. tell mom that she promised to buy me sushi and buffet after the camp and that there are no exceptions. I will not sleep until I eat.

The Lightening Thief Review
When people think of action movies or SF movies, all they think about is people fighting each other and violent scenes. Also, when you think of educational movies, without even thinking, you say it's boring and that you don't want to watch it. However, have you ever thought of a combination of these two totally contradicting genres? Well, the movie "The Lightning Thief" shows it all. This movie is based on the New York Tomes best selling series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" by Rick Riordan. If you like stories with depth, I recommend the book, but if you want action and excitement, I recommend the movie.
Percy Jackson used to be a normal teenager with ADHD, until he found out that his teacher is a demon and another is a centaur (half human and half horse), and most surprisingly, that he is half god, half human, also known as "demi-god". Now that he found out he's a son of Poseidon, he is sent to Camp Half-Blood where kids like him are gathered together to be protected from demons and trained for their harsh future. On the way to the camp, they get attacked by Minotaur and his mother gets kidnapped. While all that was happening, Zeus's lightening bolt got stolen and suspects that Percy was the thief. Zeus proposes a war unless Percy brings back his lightening bolt back to Mount Olympus in 14 days. So Percy and two of his friends from Camp Half-Blood goes on a journey to find his mother and to save the world. I can't tell you the ending, but I guarantee you won't be disappointed. There are numerous episodes tied up together and to give a spoiler, the lightening turned out to be where no one would have ever imagined.
I personally recommend this movie to all ages, especially to those who are interested in Greek mythology. Not only is the movie exciting to watch, but it's also educational, which helps you learn more about the gods and goddesses, demons, and the legends. The only thing that I was disappointed at was that the movie tried to squeeze in all 5 books in the series into one movie, which made it look as if they were rushing through all of these episodes instead of dealing it in depth. Other than that, I loved the movie. I recommend that you watch the movie "The Lightning Thief " and experience the fun yourself.

Invisibility Potion
"This sucks. This really sucks, you know,"I said.
"I know," Steph sat down. leaning my back to an old mossy tree."Life sucks," she murmured.
Really. she's not overreacting. This is not the first time, I tell you. The so-called "7 Princesses" have been torturing Stephanie and me for the whole semester, just for the reason that I got the highest grade in class before. Today was not an exception. Those girls say things that no one could ever imagine in their wildest dreams, but if you look at how they act in front of boys and teachers, all you can say is "WOW."
Those monsters are unbelievable.
Depressed, Steph and I were walking down the street along the forest full of damp trees. I was staring into nothingness when she pointed at something. "LOOK AT THAT!!!" she shouted, jumping as high as human body allows. I followed the direction of her finger to find a cottage. There was nothing oh-so-special about it except the fact that it was old and fragile. "Did you see that? Did you see that? It wasn't there before, but it's there now! That's so AWESOME!" Steph screamed excitedly.
"Yeah, sure," I squinted my eyes to the old cottage. I didn't really want to go in, but it seemed like my personal opinion didn't matter at all. Stephanie litterally dragged me into the cottage.
"Whoa, that's so awesome," Steph was lost in wonders. I didn't get how that could be possible since there were nothing so fascinating to me that grabbed my attention until I saw the book. It was stuck in the corner, btu there was something veru special about it. It lured me as if it was part of me. With great care, I picked up the old raggy book, which looked as it the thin yellow pages would rip with just one touch.
"Hey, Steph, look at this," I dusted the leather cover of the big book with my hands. It said: "THE GREAT ALCHYMIST'S BOOK OF POTIONS & SPELLS".
"That's the coolest and the awesomest thing I've ever seen in my life!" she exclaimed, already peeking into the pages. But before we could open the book, I heard rustling sound behing the front door. We hurriedly hid behind the stacks of rusty gadgets of machine. I peeked through a hole in one of the gadgets. There were three men. Two wearing tuxedoes and sunglasses looked like bodyguards of the third man, who was in veils.
I heard a barking voice which probably came from the third guy. "Find the book! Find it!"
"I'm sorry, sir, but it's nowhere. We searched every single square meter of this place, and we couldn't find it," one of the bodyguards replied. I looked down at the book in my hands. Was this the bok they were talking about?Never minds, we jumped out of the window next to us. THe sun was going behind the mountain. "We better hurry.
I whispered.
After 10 minutes of listening to the third man's nagging, they finally got out. REading each others' We ran back to my house. We threw our backpacks on the couch and flied down the stairs to the basement. I carefully opened the book to a page which said "INVISIBILITY POTION". Steph and I started making the potion, putting all the ingrediants in somekind of a pot. "It says here that we have to wait for 10 hours and 39 minutes," Steph said.
"UGH, we have to wait until tomorrow? Let's meet at my house tomorrow morning, okay?" I said.
"Okay, bye. See you tomorrow," Susie left.
And I kept staring into the pot, wondering what could possibly happen tomorrow.
Next morning...
"Hey Steph! Wake up!" At 4:27 A.M, I woke up and shouted towards Stephanie.
Then suddenly Stephanie stood up quickly and asked me "What time is it now?".
"It's four twenty eight, Steph. Come on."
"Oh my gosh! We're too late! We passed time to stir. Let's stir it right away now."
No one even ever thought about bringing teacher or someone.
They were too surprised and some were enjoying and most of them thought that it's magic or probably curse (because the girl holding the mirror was reaaally annoying and mean).

"It's four twenty eight, Steph. Come on."
"Oh my gosh! We're too late! We passed time to stir. Let's stir it right away now."
Steph and Susie stirred the portion. As they stir, the portion became light bluish."
"Now, what we need to do is planning while waiting for it to be cooled."
"Okay. What do you want to do if you become invisible?"
"Um..Pull pranks to the people walking in the street?"
"How about surprising our own family first?"
"Hey.." suddenly Steph became serious.
"What about those braggarts who are always fooling us around?"
"....You mean those "7 princesses"...right?"
"Yeah...Huh! 7 princesses? Suck! @~#!@$@#% !"
"Hoo..let's calm down."
"Wait, how long does the portion work? we should check it first."
"Let me find it...Hum..Here it is. A sip of it will work for 30 minutes, and half of bottle of this portion works for 5 hours."
Steph read the sentence aloud from the book. I was thrilled."Howa! That will be enough for us. Now let's finish our plans."
"Of course we should. Well firstly I'd like to bother those snobs. How about you?"
"Same as me, though. Then how?"
We talked a lot about it.
After a while we called our teacher, Ms. Lee that we cannot actually attend school today because we are sick. We pretended very well so she seemed to be really worrying.
"Now, it's time for the drink."
We shared it into half and drank together. It felt really hot inside after drinking it up. I was melting and melting into the ground but I couldn't even say anything. After a real while the melting stuff disappeared.
"Oh...are you okay Steph?" "Yes. At first it was very painful but it's gone now."
"Oh really? Me too!" "Now let's go to our school. Umhahaha!"
"Sure~!"
Class..
"Hey, did you hear that?"
"What?"
"The two loners are not comming today!"
"Oh~that's "too" bad~"
"Hahaha!Yeah..What should we do then?Crying for the dumbs' pain?"
"Hahahaha~!!"
When we went into the classroom invisible and silently, we could hear the terrible vioce of "7 princesses"...or "7 pigs"..ha!"
"What will we do now?" I asked Steph very queitly.
Steph seemed to be so upset. She was about to be burned so she couldn't even say something to me.
"Oh Steph..calm down..we can revenge now" I whispered.
"Let's beat them!" shouted Steph into my innocent ears.
"No,no we can't do that Steph. If we do that, it might cause huge trouble, so let's just have some fun."
"How?" "I have an idea..Just watch me."
Then I tiptoed to one of 7 princesses who was holding a mirror and making her hair.
I grapped her mirror carefully and pulled it out and threw it into the sky.
It looked like it jumped and was flying. Our classmates really seemed to be shocked."Oh, oh my gosh what's happening?!!" cried the girl who was holding a mirror.
Some of our classmates started to scream and others just stared at mirror.
Their mouth were wide opened and they looked like foolish or idiots.
"Hhowa..Amazing.." gasped a girl who is not one of the 7 princesses but still one of the classmates.
We kept catching mirror and throwing up in the ceiling. We really enjoyed a lot.
After about some minutes later we stopped throwing and just crashed the mirror. No one even ever thought about bringing teacher or someone.
They were too surprised and some were enjoying and most of them thought that it's magic or probably curse (because the girl holding the mirror was reaaally annoying and mean).
We could feel joy and happiness by the result we made and we came out from the classroom. We even went to playground and played. Playing without being seen made us feel so great. We talked a lot in even loud voice(we could do so because there was no one in the playground).
After about 2 hours later we went to the street.
There were lots of people walking in the street.
"Susie, what will we do now?" whispered Steph.
"Um..let's just take their hats off and make them float or something"
"Aha!Then let's take the guy's hat off" she whispered.
We spent time in the street taking of people's hats and then we felt like that portion was now lost its power because our fingernail strated to be shown.
Therefore we ran away from there and went into a nearest cave and we became "visible person" again.
Ode to AC(Air Conditioning)
Air conditioning, my air conditioning,
How I love your cooling.
Your breathe refreshes my face
and blows all the sweat without a trace.
How could I survive without your support,
if they get rid of you, I'll go to the court.
I give all my heart to thee
for thy sine greatly and blind me.
My love, my love, what more can I do?
I could never live without you.
As you whisper into my ears,
my heart's barriers melt and turn so sheer.
How I love your cooling.
Your breathe refreshes my face
and blows all the sweat without a trace.
How could I survive without your support,

NARRATIVE ESSAY- becoming a new person
Being away from your home country and adapting to a new culture and environment might be hard and unenjoyable for most peopl. For me, when I went to the US, although it was hard at first, but I eventually enjoyed it. One of the reasons I liked living in US is that I love challenges. I like trying out new things and going through hardships. Later, I found out that this characteristic helped me throughout my life in America.
At first, of course, it was hard for me because I couldn't understand a word they said; by so, I couldn't sa anything in class. Thus, unlike my usual personality, I became the quiet and shy one in out class. But soon enough, I made good friends who helped me blend in with others. I still am very thankful for all their cares and concerns, not to metion their efforts to help me. Never have I seen such nice people in this world. After becoming comfortable with everyone, I started speaking up in class. Even though my grammers were not that good, I went on and tried to express myself nevertheless. Within half of a year, I becae the most active student in the class.
However, I wanted something more. I tried out many activities in and out the school, such as debate and horseback riding. It was as if I was bron in America and lived there for my whole life. At that time, I didn't know anything about racism or anything so negative. I was so optimistic and bright I just didn't care about those issues. However, when I was completely Americanized, I found out that the school next to mine had serious racism problems, especially with Asians. They even called Koreans "yellow monkey" in front of their faces. I was so shoced at first because my school had not much racism. For some period, I was afriad to meet caucasians. However, my friends helped me again to go through this slump. Through these experiences, I felt the true friendship and how much it helps a person throughout life. Then I thought to myself, I should also be more warmhearted and caring for others just like my friends were to me.
I became a completely different person with a whole new personality after the experience in America. I became more naive and good-hearted. Although I came a tiny bit gullible, I believe my personalities improved and became a better person.

TV does more good than harm
In the 21st century, anything is possible. With the well -developed technology we have nowadays, we can find out what happened halfway around the world and learn new information by watching TV. Everyone, having at least one TV per house, became more sophisticated and aware of societal issues. Despite these wonderful effects, some people say it has more negative effects, such as it is addictive. However, I believe TV has more positive sides. The two main reasons for this is that first, it's a great way to get information, and second, we can connect with other people through TVs.
Firstly, TV provides great information for all people. Both men and women of all ages can watch TV and get diverse information from it very efficiently. For example, adults watch the news like CNN to know how the world is going around. Also, children watch educational channels, such as PBS, to learn outside their books. Finally, foreigners watch the conversational channels to learn that country's language. This shows that we gain more knowledge from TV; thus, helping everyone become more sophisticated. Additionally, books are not the only way to gain information. Watching and listening at the same time helps your brain remember it more. By so, the TV helps people get information.
Secondly, it connects people with each other. The smallest and the most effective group is families. By watching TV together, the family members get to spend more time with each other. Especially if they are watching sports, they could cheer for the team together or have conversations about the players on the team. Next, the people in the country can connect with each other. Suppose the news has told an extremely traumatic story of a person, the whole country would get together like a one big family, and help each other out. Lastly, the world can connect. With the world's technology developing in a lightening speed, the idea of globalization is becoming true. That's what makes it important for people in other countries with different cultures to know others' and accept the variant lifestyles. Therefore, television is the fastest and the most efficient way to get the connect with people.
In conclusion, I believe the positive sides of TV far outweighs the harms. The first reason was that TV is a wonderful source for information, and second, it connects people with each other. For the reasons I've asserted above, TV is more beneficial than harmful.

WHO AM I????
In life, we ask to numerous people, "who are you?". However, we do not take time to stop and ask ourselves, "who am I?". In this post, I would like to explain exactly who I am. There are many things that tells one's personality, such as their acts and what they say. I believe my personalities are strange and outgoing. People always tell me that I am out of the ordinary. Some might take this as a negative comment, some might not feel so great about being unusual. However, I am different; I take this as a compliment. in the 21st century, thinking out of the box would become extremely handy in life. Also, I am very gullible. When people tell me a joke, most of the times, I believe them. Sometimes, people take advantage of such weakness, but I rationalize myself to think in a positive way.
I believe my family is a comparatively happy life. I live with my parents and my little brother. My parents have good educational values, and they are very good at holding down their anger. So when they are scolding me for what I have done wrong, they don't have their emotions explode on me. My brother is 8 years old, and in my own opinion, he is the handsomest boy in the world. He got his front tooth pulled out, so he looks even cuter. I always play soccer with him. Most of my friends usually don't like their siblings, but I do. I love my family more than anyone else in the world.
I like chatting with my friends because I can tell them my problems, and sometimes, they can find the solution for me. Also, I like sleeping, eating, horse-back riding, and doing something productive. Before I go to sleep, I always regret if I have spent all day doing nothing. However, when I do something productive, I feel proud of myself and get the motivation to do it again. The things that I dislike are liars, whiners, braggers, someone who gets angry very easily, and an annoyingly kind person. I find these people not at all helpful in my life and I don't get how they are going to survive with such personalities. However, I try to find the positive sides of them so that they don't look so hateful as they did before. I am trying, but it's not easy.
My goals and asperations are that after I graduate college, I want to study more and become a person who will be remembered in the history book, meaning, I want to change the world in a positive way. I want to be remembered after I die. A life changing experience I had was going to the US. I was able to meet people with diverse personalities and culture. I had a wonderful experience with the friends I had. This is the most memorable and life-changing experience I had so far.
I asked to myself, "who am I?" and I believe this had changed me a lot. I recommend other people to just stop what they are doing and just think about who I am. It can be a life-changing experience.
