Firstly, TV provides great information for all people. Both men and women of all ages can watch TV and get diverse information from it very efficiently. For example, adults watch the news like CNN to know how the world is going around. Also, children watch educational channels, such as PBS, to learn outside their books. Finally, foreigners watch the conversational channels to learn that country's language. This shows that we gain more knowledge from TV; thus, helping everyone become more sophisticated. Additionally, books are not the only way to gain information. Watching and listening at the same time helps your brain remember it more. By so, the TV helps people get information.
Secondly, it connects people with each other. The smallest and the most effective group is families. By watching TV together, the family members get to spend more time with each other. Especially if they are watching sports, they could cheer for the team together or have conversations about the players on the team. Next, the people in the country can connect with each other. Suppose the news has told an extremely traumatic story of a person, the whole country would get together like a one big family, and help each other out. Lastly, the world can connect. With the world's technology developing in a lightening speed, the idea of globalization is becoming true. That's what makes it important for people in other countries with different cultures to know others' and accept the variant lifestyles. Therefore, television is the fastest and the most efficient way to get the connect with people.
In conclusion, I believe the positive sides of TV far outweighs the harms. The first reason was that TV is a wonderful source for information, and second, it connects people with each other. For the reasons I've asserted above, TV is more beneficial than harmful.
